SAD:Politics to the Fore on Important Issues like Aadhaar & More!

The 9 Judge Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court has pronounced it's verdict that RIGHT TO PRIVACY is a Fundamental Right. I really don't understand why the opposition feels that it is a victory only for them and  that it gives them more arsenal to take on the government. And why is the government on the defensive as though it had lost something that may jeopardize it's capacity to function? Will everybody on either side of the political divide keep a calm head and let people understand the full meaning of the verdict. For example why is there no attempt to teach people the difference  between Fundamental Right and Absolute Right? It is this political one upmanship that is really dangerous to the country. And trying to harden stances based on logic , that are mostly irrelevant,  scuttles all chances that our country has to progress. Nothing can illustrate it better than the Irony of the Aadhaar by exposing the illogical  , idiotic and irrelevant posturing...

Sting Without a Stink!

Those who understand Indian politics well, will rate the farewell speech of the Prime Minister ,Mr. Narendra Modi in honour Mr. Hamid Ansari , the Vice President very very high. There is no love lost between the PM and the VP. They differ a lot in their political leanings and idealogies. But when called to give a farewell speech to the VP , the PM gives a dignified and decent speech which to the casual listener may not mean much but if you dissect it you will find the devil in the details. Point 1: Hereditary: Mr.Modi points out the hard work and sacrifices of Mr. Ansari's grand father and father. A clear pointer that Mr. Ansari is benefactor of the family lineage and that he is not a self made man. Point 2: Congress Leaning: He clearly points out the affiliation of his family to the Congress In a way subtly hinting that Mr.Ansari too cannot forget his love for them. Point 3: Diplomacy: How beautifully Mr. Modi explains how each smile ,each expression and each word s...

If Not Doctor ,Then What?

I  have a feeling that I just came and left abruptly without posting anything worthwhile on my first day as a blogger. I strongly believe that well begun is half done and even though I am still learning the nuances of a blog I have this strong urge that I have to post something interesting .So let my first blogpost be my post from a different medium whose responses and comments encouraged me to start this blog.  A friend asked a question - "If I were given the choice to choose another profession , what will it be?" This question really got me thinking and I decided to answer in detail and here it it.......... XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX What would I be if I were given a choice to chose a career again? Well! A good question but before that why did I become a doctor should be answered.  The year was 1995 the year I had to chose which stream I need to be in. Growing up in a business environment at home. Hearing stories of how my...

After a lot of persuasion and explanation by many people that a digital presence will help me professionally too ,I'm taking my baby steps , trying to figure out what each button , icon ,tag and link does. I guess it will take me a while to understand all this fully and once I do I will be able to engage with you all in a better and more interesting way. What is this blog going to be about? Well I myself have not decided. But true to my character it will be a mix and match of many things. I will be as honest as possible , as humorous as possible and may be as helpful as possible. Hence the name Naveen- Mattters of LIFE and HEALTH , a very generic name. I hope this blog will help me to connect with people better and more importantly document and archive things better. So once again Hello to everyone out here. And have a great day and for some the weekend's already here....Bye for now as I continue learning. So Cheers and Catch yo...
